It’s hard to believe that today marks our last full month in the States. And that we have only six weeks remaining before our move, if we can meet our budget goals.

November should have been difficult for fundraising as people save for Christmas shopping. But you all showed up and proved wrong what we had anticipated. Even on Black Friday, while the majority in our country were busy consuming, we received an unexpected donation of $100. To those who became monthly supporters or gave one-time donations this past month, we can’t thank you all enough. Seriously, more times than we can count, we stared at each other in surprise… truly speechless by such unexpected generosity.

Statistically, meeting our goal this month is unlikely. December has proven to be one of the most difficult months to fundraise, particularly due to the Christmas holiday. We just lived through Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Today is Cyber Monday and tomorrow is Fair Trade Tuesday. It’s easy to get wrapped up in these sales, and no doubt, we are in favor of supporting small businesses. But we ask that you might also consider donating to After Trade, or becoming a monthly supporter.

We have about $6,000 remaining on our GoFundMe and $230 needed in monthly support. The latter can be accomplished if only 5 friends committed to give $45/month, or a couple of folks giving $100/month.

Thanks for sticking with us this far, for the unbelievable support, and all the encouraging words. This move has been a long time coming, but we’re almost there and we couldn’t have gotten it this far without you all.
